Hola/Hello/Oi! My name is Fernando Diaz Morera (he/él), and I am an Assistant Professor at Fitchburg State University, MA. I earned my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Tulane University under the guidance of Prof. Mahir B. Can.

My research interests encompass a broad range of topics in algebraic group, coding theory, and combinatorics.

Prior to my Ph.D., I completed my M.S. at ESFM-IPN in Ciudad de México and my B.S. at Universidad Sergio Arboleda in Bogotá. Outside of mathematics, I enjoy playing V-ball, running, cycling, and exploring the outdoors.
