Teaching

I wouldn’t have made it this far in mathematics without a deep passion for teaching and sharing knowledge. I am particularly interested in active learning practices, innovative teaching methods, and alternative grading systems. Currently, I’m eager to explore and implement POGIL and/or IBL methodologies in my courses.

As I continue in academia, I am committed to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom and helping students achieve their goals while encouraging students to build community within the academic space. For instance, at the outset of each lecture, I illuminate the following principles (axioms) authored by Prof. Federico Ardilla in Todos Cuentan (Cultivating Diversity in Combinatorics)

I unwaveringly stand by each of these principles both inside and outside the classroom.
